Guzzi LeMans II Cafe
Some brands just naturally cafe well. BMW’s do, as well as older Honda’s. Among that list, Moto Guzzi is near the top. Here’s another fine Guzzi cafe, a 1979 LeMans II.

Top 5 Bikes Of 2012
Here are the top five bikes featured on Goodhal Garage this year, based on page visits.
#5 - Free Biker BMW
Maybe it’s the simple good looks, or the classic airhead engine and toaster tank, but whatever the reason this made this bike popular, it was enough to get 5th place.#4 – Gravel Crew GB250
The long, low look of this bike makes it a winner in my book, and apparently with my readers as well!#3 – Abnormal BMW K100
Another BMW in the top five, Abnormal’s K100 places a well-deserved third!#2 – Crazy Garage Cafe Sporty
A Harley-Davidson in second place? It earned it, with a presence that eschews the traditional look of a Hog for something special!#1 – Emporio Yamaha XJR 1200
There’s something about this bike that is just so…interesting, with small details that catch your eye, things you didn’t notice the first time. Top it off with a muscular stance that sets it apart from most builds, and it’s easy to see why it garnered first place.Editor’s Choice – Triumph Rat
It’s not polished, hell, it’s not even clean, but there’s something about this bike I find irresistible.Farmer’s Racer SR400
Taking a different approach, Farmer’s Racer is using inspiration from Sweden’s history of farmers and industrial workers using self made motorcycles, or, as the website puts it : A speedway and motocross heritage – a tradition of farmers and industrial workers competing on two wheels. The idea of farmer’s racer was born.
the bike has been updated with a number plate over the engine, which I don’t find very pleasing, but it’s not my bike. It just doesn’t fit with the rest of the motorcycle.

1977 CB750 With CX Tank
A little while ago I posted how the shape of the Honda CX’c gas tank didn’t appeal to me. Turns out that fly2devin from the Do The Ton forums saw the inherit beauty in the tank design, and used it on his 1977 Honda CB750 cafe racer. I have to admit the results are stunning, and I’m starting to believe there are no bad tank designs, you just have to use them correctly!

The Lighter Side 005
Orange 750
I have a weakness for the color orange on vehicles. Lamborghini does it well, so did Nissan a few years ago, as well as Ford with their Edge crossover SUV.
It’s no wonder that I like this Honda CB750 from Kott Motorcycles. I don’t think the orange engine mounts work, but otherwise it is a very clean package that accents the basic good looks of the CB750.

‘75 Suzuki T500 Titan
Less can definitely be more, and this Suzuki is proof. Simple and elegant, it’s all business. Nothing extraneous or out of place, just clean lines and a look of speed.

Best Looking Guzzi Ever?
This one is another bike that’s been featured across the moto-blogeverse, and was featured in an issue of Italian Motor Magazine. I still think it’s the best Guzzi I’ve seen so far.

Moto-Mucci Project CX
David Mucci over at the Mucci-Moto blog has a very nice Honda CX custom, one that is simple, clean, and functional. The stock CX gas tank has always bothered me, yet here it works perfectly. Even the sidecovers over the airbox look good, and usually they stick out like a sore thumb. There has been quite a few CX’s recently on the moto-blogs, but this one still comes out on top.
