Alonzo Bodden’s 1098

Streetfighters are very closely related to cafe racers, although their genesis is very different.  While cafe’s were created in an attempt to make stock bikes faster, streetfighters are more a reaction to the replacement costs of sportbike bodywork.
What to do when you crash your gixxer, and the bike is fine, but the fairing looks like hell?  Streetfighter, baby!
Most of the time, they don’t look all that good to me, Bug-eyed headlights, neon this-n-that, and other things designed more for getting attention than any functional purpose.  This bike is no different, except that the level of craftsmanship is way above the norm, and there are some elements that look great.

I love the tank, but I have a weakness for brushed metal.  My favorite part is the neat integration of the LED tail light, although i don’t see any turn signals.  If you’ve ever tried welding, then you know just how gorgeous the welds on the custom exhaust are!  The work was performed by Nick Anglada Originals Inc., and the bike is a testament to their attention to detail and skill.
