It always astounds me how versatile the motorcycles of the ‘70’s and early ‘80’s are. Before bikes became pigeonholed into specific categories they were fairly universal. That’s why the term UJM (Universal Japanese Motorcycle) came about. While it may be hard for today’s riders to differentiate between older motorcycles, they make a hell of a base for custom work. This Yamaha SR500 was taken in hand by Vintage Customs, whose work we’ve showcased before, and they don’t disappoint.
This build is called the Rogue, and it has a very 1950’s vibe, with the two-tone paint, the slight British look of the engine, and the Avon front tire. Not so sure I’d want a drum front brake, though!
