Jose from Macco Motors sent us the lowdown on their first creation, a 1982 Kawasaki Z1100 ST the call “Big Z”. Tito and Jose make up Macco Motors, a little shop in Chiclana de la Frontera (I could say that all day, it just sounds so cool!), Cadiz, in southern Spain.
It’s hard to believe this is their first effort, as the level of refinement is much higher than usual. The subtle shading around the Kawasaki emblem, the way the silver frame and chrome engine parts contrast nicely with the black, a touch which is repeated in the fuel tank, and finally the use of brown as another contrast, making the seat tie in with the rest of the bike.
Jose says they have more coming, a Montesa Enduro 75, a Triumph Bonneville, and a Yamaha TTR. If the level of quality is as high as Big Z here, there’s another builder out there on the level of Wrenchmonkees and Spirit of the 70’s!
