Yamaha SR400 Racer By Motor Rock

SR400-Custom_02

I’m often amazed at just how important small details can be on a build.  Motor Rock from Japan created this luscious cafe racer based on a Yamaha SR400, with handmade fairing, seat cowl, and tank, but there’s one tiny item (four of them, actually), that doesn’t gel well with the rest of the bike, and that would be the turn signals.  To start with, I love the fact that they’re flush with the bodywork, something you don’t often see.  It’s their color and placement that strike me as wrong.  They stand out starkly against the black bodywork, and their positioning doesn’t fit with the lines of the bodywork.  Maybe if the racing stripe was orange it would work better for me, but as it is now I find them extremely distracting from the greatness of the rest of the build.
