RSS Free Willy XS750

Another Yamaha XS750 from Robinson’s Speed Shop, this one called “Free Willy”.  I don’t like it as well as the blue one, but it’s still a great build.  The velocity stacks look a little strange, but overall the bike has a nice flow and feel!

RSS 1978 Suzuki GS750

Here’s another build from Robinson’s Speed Shop, a fine Suzuki GS750.  It’s really nice, and shows the same attention to detail that Robinson’s other have.  The only problem is color choice.  Not on the bike, but in the location chosen for the photos!  It doesn’t compliment the motorcycle well, and makes for some drab pictures.  This bike needs a photoshoot in a better location!

RSS 1976 Honda CB550

Restraint: It’s a characteristic that’s hard for a lot of builders to achieve.  You add this, then that, then something else because it’s so cool, but before you know it there are so many elements competing for attention the work comes across as busy and overly done.  Not so this CB550 from RSS.  Less is more is the apparent motto here, as she’s reduced to the bare, essential components of a cafe racer.  It’s a great look!

RSS ‘77 Suzuki GS750

It says a lot about a builder when you look at an example of their work, such as this lovely GS750 from Robinson’s Speed Shop, and you can’t help but think it’s really a factory built model and not a custom build.  The lines of this bike just flow so well, the proportions are just right, and nothing looks out of place or poorly fabricated.   I love it, and R.S.S. has done a brilliant job!

Luke Robinson’s XS750

This is the first XS750 build I’ve seen that I really like.  For some reason most of the one’s I’ve seen have been OK, but not spectacular.  Even Spirit of The Seventies and Wrenchmonkees didn’t create homeruns, in my opinion.  Now this, this is a homer!  The proportions are great, and Luke Robinson even made the weird sidecovers look awesome.  Baby Powder Blue is one of those colors that can completely ruin an otherwise great bike, but it oh, so works in this case!  Great work!
