Morning Wood

Custom builders prove time and time again that you can make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.  The Honda CX500 was never, ever described as beautiful, especially the Custom version.  It’s like Honda just didn’t know what they wanted from the bike, so it the style just kinda came out random.  Seeing something beautiful and desirable in the base machine is hard, but here’s proof there’s a great looking bike waiting to be unleashed with enough time and effort, and this was done on a tight budget.  I think the builder, Garage Project Motorcycles, sums it up rather nicely…
"Budget was tiny so we kept it very raw, very basic. It goes, it stops, it puts a smile on the owners face and it makes old people shake their heads.”
I don’t think you can ask any more from a build, do you?
