Ton-up Garage Crane

  The scrambler style has been popular for a long time.  The main defining feature, that I see, is the really high exhaust pipes on one side.  It’s a look that just doesn’t appeal to me, and even the wizards at Ton-up Garage haven’t changed my mind.  Now that you know my prejudice towards the style, let’s go into this build.
  Take the exhaust, put it on display in an art museum or on a mantle over a fireplace.  It’s that beautiful.  I still don’t like it on the bike, but if a scrambler style is what you want, this is the exhaust to have!
  The brown leather seat is another highlight for me.  It’s not the usual thin plank of covered foam that you see on a lot of builds, it has some depth and a delightful thickness to it.  It compliments the tank well, and the top half of the bike works well.  It’s the bottom half where I think things get a little muddled.
  The black wheels, black engine bits, and black side covers seem, in my opinion. to be at odds with the seat and tank.  Throw in the forks that don’t match anything else on the bike, and it’s a mixed result for me.  Separate, everything looks great.  Together, not so much. 
  That’s my opinion, and it doesn’t mean a damn thing.  The bike was built for one man, and his opinion, the one that really matters, is that she is the most beautiful bike he’s ever seen.  I call that mission accomplished!
