CB250 Dirty Rat

I make no secret about my affection for rat bikes.  They’re not everyone’s cup o’ tea, but I find them irresistible.  Instead of trying to be picture perfect, they celebrate the uniqueness that comes with use and time, wind and weather.  This rat from Rene9ade Customs (I really hate that “9” in place of a “g”!) describes it as minimal, raw, and a little rugged, a very apt description.
Everything has a very thrown together at the last moment look to it, until you really make a closer inspection, and that’s when the true genius comes out.  What at first looks random becomes deliberately placed, and cobbled together no longer describes what few will actually realize.  Parts are situated just so, complimenting each other and making a work that flows from one end to the other.  You really have to open yourself to seeing beyond your initial impression to get this bike, and that’s what I love about it.  It’s a bike for an artist.
